What time is it?

According to this clock, it’s 10:17 and 11:17. I’ve never seen this before. They don’t have two clocks showing different time zones, they have one clock with two hour hands. The earlier one with a Swedish flag, the later one with a Finnish flag. Since the ship just goes back and forth between Stockholm and Helsinki everyday you have to assume half the passengers are on one time zone and half on the other. Everything on the ship is denoted in both time zones, such as restaurant hours, arrival time, etc. I left Helsinki around 5 PM and arrived in Stockholm around 9 AM the next day. 16 hours to go less than 300 miles doesn’t sound so fast, but the Baltic Sea is very calm and I spent most of that time sleeping. There’s also a sauna onboard. There are two main ferry companies in the Baltic area. Silja is a bit fancier than Viking which is the one I was on. Since there’s no rail connection to western Europe, taking a ferry works out great….you can take your car with you too. A ticket for the ferry is about 40 euros, but getting a room is extra. If you travel in a group of 3 or 4 you can share a room. I wasn’t interested in sharing a tiny room with total strangers, so I got my own. Between the 3 beds in the room, I was able to piece together 1 set of sufficiently clean sheets.
